DevOps Engineer

Employment Type:  Full-Time

 

We are a dynamic, well-established local New Orleans company that develops healthcare applications offering an opportunity for a bright and motivated DevOps Engineer to work closely with our development team.  The following skills are desirable:

  • Experience building cloud-based infrastructure solutions in AWS or Azure with a strong governance model knowledge.

  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and ability to use a wide variety of technologies and tools

  • Experience with systems and IT operations

  • Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment

  • Strong grasp of automation tools

  • Data management skills (XML, SQL server queries/admin)

  • System/network administration in a Windows environment

  • Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders

  • Experience with Ticketing systems and Source Control

 

Responsibilities would include:

  • Working closely with developers and QA/Analysts to oversee code releases for our suite of products.

  • Support our customers and staff in the deployment and implementation of our software products and underlying databases.

  • Server, virtual machine, API, and network configuration.

  • Working with our engineering team to develop new testing tools/techniques for better product test coverage

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Programming experience in a Windows environment or hands-on software quality assurance experience.

  • An understanding of Virtual Servers and Cloud environments AWS & Azure

  • An understanding of relational database technology and ability to develop SQL queries

  • You are able to make intelligent trade-offs, know when to escalate issues, and proactively identify risks

  • You have a strong capacity for logical thinking, with the ability to dig deep into issues and find root causes of issues.

  • You understand problem isolation, QA testing methodologies, and debugging.

  • You are able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, where frequent releases are the norm and additional production updates are always a possibility.

Healthcare Software Application Analyst

Employment Type:  Full-Time

We are looking for a bright and motivated Healthcare Software Application Analyst to write documentation and marketing materials, keep up with regulatory requirements, understand our customer workflows and help ensure the overall quality of our product suite, for both the user interface and back end of our product. The ideal candidate has a healthcare background and is a strong team player with great interpersonal skills, quality conscious, organized, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will work closely with our development team.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing documentation, including blogging and marketing materials.

  • Working with customers to implement and train on our suite of products.

  • Working with developers to design and implement new product functionality.

  • Ensuring the high quality of our browser-based products, identifying and driving resolution of software quality issues, in collaboration with development team

  • Designing, developing and executing test plans for various features of the product suite

  • Reporting and tracking issues found, working with developers in problem isolation, and helping to drive resolution

  • Working with our engineering team to develop new testing tools/techniques for better product test coverage

  • Investigate end-user issues using direct communication with customer support team

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience as healthcare software superuser, application analyst or healthcare marketing/technical writer

  • An understanding of relational database technology and ability to develop SQL queries is desirable but not necessary.

  • Knowledge of web browsers and XML desirable

  • You are able to make intelligent tradeoffs, know when to escalate issues, and proactively identify risks

  • You have a strong capacity for logical thinking, with the ability to dig deep into issues and find the root cause in a complex web offering

  • You understand problem isolation, writing test plans or test matrices, QA testing methodologies, and debugging. ∙You are able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, where frequent releases are the norm and additional production updates are always a possibility

.NET/SQL Healthcare Software Developer

Employment Type:  Full-Time

Small dynamic local healthcare information technology company based in New Orleans is looking for software development and programming expertise. Must be a customer service-oriented self-starter.

 

Desirable skills/experience:
- Database experience, including MS SQL Server. Ability to write Stored Procedures.
- C#, web development and ASPX
